'Voice For Change'.
Aussie music and entertainment giant Mushroom Group has launched a new community-based project, supported by the Victorian government, aimed at addressing some important issues effecting Victorian youth.
The Voice For Change initiative seeks to raise awareness about street and youth violence and to educate and empower those most at risk.
A collection of some of Australia's biggest urban, hip hop and sporting names will take part in the campaign, including Urthboy, Ecca Vandal, Diafrix and Sampa The Great by sharing their own personal journeys and experiences in a forthcoming online documentary.
"Through the support of the Victorian Government and the Centre for Multicultural Youth, the Mushroom Group and I are extremely proud to be working with some of Australia’s finest established and fast rising multicultural Hip Hop artists and inspirational sports players in sharing their personal stories in this online initiative," Mushroom Group chairman, Michael Gudinski said.

"In harnessing the voice of music and music’s close relation to sport through Voice For Change, we are striving to make a difference with disenfranchised youth facing challenges and to demonstrate there are positive life affirming options other than violence.
"Reflected through these initial stories we hear about our talent’s upbringing, goals, turning points, their involvement with youth and how they got to where they are now.
"Everyone makes choices on their personal journey and those choices which engage in creative pursuits and connect us the community can change and make a difference to lives.
"Voice For Change is uplifting and inspiring and encourages youth to realise their aspirations and goals - something I relate to because for me it all started with a dream and a song!"
