Just one day after Azealia Banks confirmed she has pulled out of an impending deal with fellow rapper RZA's record label after she was allegedly violently evicted from a private party hosted by Russell Crowe, the Wu-Tang Clan member has hit back at Banks and insisted her claims are untrue.

Taking to Facebook just hours ago, RZA confirmed that he was given permission by Crowe to invite Banks to the actor's Beverly Hills hotel suite after they arranged to meet in LA, though he claims he had "no real experience of her social behaviour".

"Before the night is over Azealia is insulting half the room she becomes loud and obnoxious," the 47-year-old songwriter and filmmaker writes.

"There was nothing funny about her behavior. I felt a little embarrassed because she was my guest.

"Still verbal abuse can be tolerated but when it goes physical… Azealia threaten to cut a girl in the face with a glass, then actually grabs a glass and physically attacks for no logical reason.

"Russell blocked the attack and expelled her from the suite.

"Seeing is believing and I saw her behave as an obnoxious erratic individual and in the circles I frequent this was unprecedented. I was totally [puzzled] by her and thought maybe meds or booze or something had her zoned out."

Speaking to TMZ earlier today, RZA confirmed reports that Crowe did spit at Banks after evicting her from the room, though denies that she was choked or racially insulted.

"I get in between [Crowe and Banks], she's trying to get back inside the room, Russell does spit at her," he said in a video interview.

"If anything, the spit would have gotten on me because I was in between them."

The Facebook post continues, "I'm not trying to protect Russell from anything he is a man of his own caliber.

"My art, talent and success speaks for it self and Azealia's recent slander of me and self victimization reflect's the personality of the person that was in that room that night.

"I have a wife, daughters, sisters and females on my staff so I protect women everyday.

"I pray none of them ever behave the way I witnessed Azealia Banks behaved that night."

Crowe's representatives have maintained that the actor's innocence.
