Koi Child

Koi Child’s year saw them tour their seven-piece hip-hop show nationally, twice — once for their self-titled album launch and later in the year to tour their single Touch ‘Em, and they released two music videos, 1-5-9 and Touch ‘Em.

They received national radio play, international radio play (Beats 1 Radio) and coverage across numerous publications. They played NYE on the Hill, Southbound Fire Fundraisers, Golden Plains Festival, State Of The Art Festival, Volumes 2016 and Strawberry Fields, and supported the likes of Tame Impala, Fat Freddy’s Drop and John Butler Trio.

Methyl Ethel

Dream-poppers Methyl Ethel started their year with a national tour of shows and festivals, and are ending with a world tour of shows and festivals, a few of which were/are: Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia, Latitude Festival, Splendour in the Grass, SXSW, Laneway and The Great Escape.

They released their music video for single release Idée Fixe and received prominent coverage from Rolling Stone, NME, Pitchfork and label 4AD.

Mosquito Coast

2016 has seen Mosquito Coast release their sun-bleached, guitar-driven pop single Let’s Be Friends, which received national radio play and coverage. They played Athena Music Festival, Ship-Wrecked! Music Festival, Groovin The Moo, the Audi Art Ball, State Of The Art Festival and BIGSOUND. 

Mosquito Coast have supported Nicole Millar, Gang Of Youths and San Cisco in 2016, and they also became part of Select Music’s booking roster.

Tame Impala

Tame Impala have been touring their psychedelic rock constantly since the release of Currents in 2015. Major festival slots include Glastonbury, Bumbershot, Eurockéennes de Belfort, Project Pabst, Bestival, FYF Fest, Melt! Festival, Bilbao BBK Live, Roskilde Festival, Primavera Sound, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.

Tired Lion

Rock outfit Tired Lion spent much of their year touring nationally and through the EU. Major festival slots included The Plot, Latitude Festival, Splendour In The Grass, 2000 Trees Festival, Glastonbury Festival, ANTIFest, RTRFM’s In The Pines and The Hills Are Alive. They’ve also been announced for Yours & Owls Festival, Southbound and Falls festival.

Main support slots include Weaves and Spiderbait and the recent Violent Soho shows. Tired Lion were added to full rotation on triple j, received broad media coverage and released a music video for their new single, Not My Friends

Troye Sivan

YouTube personality and pop sensation Troye Sivan has had a year of TV appearances and tours. Sivan toured Australia and the US twice and New Zealand once, and appeared on The Late Show With James Cordon, The Ellen Show, Ora TV With Larry King and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He released his single Wild, as well as three music videos on his YouTube channel: Wild, Youth and the Blue Neighbourhood Trilogy, which featured his songs Wild, Fools, and Talk Me Down. Blue Neighbourhood Trilogy was nominated for an MTV VMA for Breakthrough Long Form Video.

Sivan also performed at the Billboard Music Awards 2016 and received numerous coverage across the media including covers for V and tmrw magazines.
