There was no encore, nor was it necessary, but the two hung around the back of the venue afterwards and were happy to chat to adoring fans as they left in what was a very memorable – and extremely sweaty – evening.

"We’ve got a week off and then we’re going back out again to do some shows with Mumford (and Sons). I love going out with the Mumford guys, so that’s exciting."

Hopefully we’ll be hearing a full-length album from them soon; I’ll certainly be getting my hands on it.

"I didn’t even really know that Australian hip hop existed when I started getting into it. I enjoyed it, so I figured that’s what I wanted to do."

"We’re writing a lot differently. It’s not so much a rock record; it’s not your traditional set-up. We’re experimenting a lot more and that’s a different direction for us.”

The song that started the group’s rise to fame, Sleepyhead, which once more had the crowd in hysterics, practically screaming along with Angelakos in what was a fantastic end to an extremely enjoyable - and ultimately very sweaty – evening.

From the moment the group began playing the 11-minute epic A Gaze Blank And Pitiless As The Sun, crowd members were throwing their heads around.

"We’ve definitely grown up as people and musicians generally, and I guess as far as the music goes, we know a lot more about who we are and what we want to create."

If fans were screaming, it was not heard by anybody, Boris noise levels felt like a pair of hands was squeezing your lungs.
