You won't believe what happens when you combine the not-so-secret ingredients of an Upworthy headline with TV and movies, the results will restore your faith in humanity. The incredibly effective click baiting headlines of Upworthy have changed the internet, they are killing every other website in the 'page view' game and pretty much all of them are now trying to implement that same 'Headline So Enticing You Can't Help But Click' technique. Though thankfully, with every success theres people out there that are going to make fun of you - What we've got here is this bunch of parody images, the Upworthy headline formula applied to everyones favourite movies and tv shows.

We figured you better get to know this legend a little better.. Last week we had the pleasure of sharing our first ever release on Pilerats Records, Sable - Feels So Good. Since that time it's clocked up over 30,000 plays on Soundcloud, a couple of thousand free downloads, and a heap of love from the likes of What So Not and Nina Las Vegas. Sooooo we're feeling pretty good about it right now. With Pilerats Records our main aim is showcase great music from great people, and John Dewhurst (as his mum calls him), is great people. In this edition we suck at getting from one place to another..

We wanted to make sure our first record release was a good'un.... ...and we're pretty fucking proud to say WA product Sable's fresh new track, Feels So Good, is our Pilerats Records #001. Ever since he rocked up to Circo Festival to cover an earlier set after being asked only a few hours before we've been in love with the young production gun from Perth. So far he's already released a bunch of great tracks through WA legends, DIE HIGH RECORDS, and we're beyond stoked to release Feels So Good, available for free download now. We're gonna look at WA's new shark laws from a few different angles.. If you're from Western Australia, you've no doubt copped a full frontal assault from the media about shark attacks in the region, especially since the death of another surfer a couple of weeks ago (RIP Chris Boyd, from what we hear you were an absolute legend). Today the WA government announced an ACTION PLAN to try and combat the fear of many WA beach-goers with regards to dealing with the threat of being eaten by sharks. You can get a full run down in the link above, but basically it boils down to any sharks over 3m in length, found less than 1km from the beach in designated 'kill zones', will be hunted and killed by professional fisherman. One of our contributors, Davey Bostelman, has decided to offer his thoughts on the issue. He's a keen surfer, and spends more time at the beach than any of us. We'll likely offer some other points of view in the next few days, hopefully to just stir up some discussion about it,
