To celebrate MT WARNING's new album, we're premiering a sweet live video today.. We’ve been big fans of Mikey Bee’s MT WARNING for a long time now - his haunting, psych/folk/country/alt-rock project that began when he hooked up with surf film director/legend Taylor Steele. More recently he and his two offsiders rocked some killer live sets at St Jerome’s Laneway last month, and since then he's been off impressing people in the US. MT WARNING's debut album, Midnight Set, is out today (stop reading - go get it NOW), and it's proof in the pudding of the dude’s potential. Kicking off with the Midnight Dawn, it's a rollicking affair that's still not afraid to explore the spaces within songs. Alison Wonderland's bringing the rave to a warehouse near you this May.. If there's one thing I know for sure, it's the quality of raving is directly proportional to said raving being done in a warehouse. Alison Wonderland knows this, and today has announced the Wonderland Warehouse Project - her only capital city tour this year, taking place in as yet un-announced "temporary party templates". And if that's not enough, she's bringing along to of the country's hottest producers of the moment in Wave Racer and Young Franco. Regularly running parties with events crew and good friends of the Rats BOOMTICK, and also one half of bassy breaks duo BLACK & BLUNT, the dude knows what's up. Which is why we're very happy to share with you today a new - and freely downloadable - mix if Micah's, Post Future Retro, which delves deep into bangin', bassy house, and is perfect pump-up d-floor fodder. South African artist Brandt Botes AKA Von Brandis has taken his deft artistic hand to vintage porn scenes from the internet and erased the pornographic content from them in this new series, Obscene Interiors. Funny thing is though, in doing so it has kinda made them more pornographic - which we guess is dependent on how dirty one's mind is. Enjoy them below, and we'll leave the space-filling up to you.
