PUBLIC is a celebration of urban art and creativity that's about to take over Perth and its surrounding suburbs, along with a trip north to the Pilbara. Walls and laneways will be taken over by street art, projections, installations and public events from April 5 to 13. Large-scale urban artworks will be developed by some of the world’s best known urban artists, transforming blank walls around the city with pop-up spaces being created in Wolf Lane, along with artist residencies on William Street in Northbridge. The latter will result in 'Dear William, a dedication to William Street, with artworks installed on William Street from April 13-20.
There will be so much art on display from so many globally and locally-renowned artists, including the likes of The Yok, Stormie Mills, ROA, Rekko Rennie, Phlegm, Kid Zoom, Amok Island (pictured) and more.
