Safia National Tour
Their first headline national tour is a biggun.. Fresh from what appeared to be a KILLER TOUR with Elizabeth Rose that finishd up in our neck of the woods last weekend, Canberra trio Safia have just announced an epic tour of their own taking over May and June. The tour will follow on from another run of shows, supporting some girl called Lorde, in a bunch of venues we're sure are tiny and not really much to talk about. Their most recent single, Paranoia, Ghosts & Other Sounds has been killing it of late, with a video clip to come that follows an awesome remix from dreamboat Brisbane producer Young Franco: Young Franco joins Paces, Akuou and Wordlife on the Paranoia... remix package due May 1. We had the pleasure of hanging out with the young chaps over the weekend, so keep your eyes peeled for our next ISSUE for that video interview, and mark your diary with whatever date you can catch the guys at below: SAT 24 MAY - Transit Bar - CANBERRA, ACT / Tix $10 + BF (presales) & $15 (door sa

DMA'S Feature
From Issue 15 of Pilerats Magazine.. This excerpt has been taken from Issue 15 of Pilerats Magazine. To experience the full interactive feature download it HERE. So how have the live shows been going, I know you’ve played one already right? Yeah we did one a while ago because Johann (I OH YOU) wanted to see us play live to make sure we didn’t totally suck haha. There wasn’t many people there, but we’re doing one next week as well, I think, maybe, I dunno.  Well you’ve got a tour in May, so how’s rehearsing going and how do you guys gel on stage so far? Yeah it’s good. All the other dudes we’ve got to play – there’s us three and then three other dudes to play. We’ve all been in bands for ages so it’s mad. And we’re all good friends, so it doesn’t feel like we haven’t played before. It feels like we’ve been doing it for a while. How’s it been for you guys, I know you’ve been in bands for a long time and working on the DMA’s for a while now as well, but then at the start of the year I OH

Friday Freebie: Paces - Can't Touch Me feat. Madeline Vida
It's ya boy Paces with a dope new original.. I was about to write something like, "around these parts we're big fans of Mikey Perry AKA Paces", but I've written it so many times, you get the idea. Plus I've written it again now anyway, soooo yeah. I digress... Paces has just released his new single, and it's another top shelf release from the Surecut Kid, which sees plenty of the signature sounds we've come to expect - kalimbas, bright chords, pop vocals, a bitta Jersey bounce - but it also feels like he's growing more and more comfortable with what 'Paces' is about, whilst also expanding on it and keeping it super-fresh. Basically, it's fucking great, listen for yourself below, and download it for FREE via the good chaps at Die High Records.

HOLEANDCORNER
A unique indoor dance event hitting Syd and Melb this June.. HOLEANDCORNER is the combined efforts of touring companies Illusive and Funf, and it's hitting the east side this winter with a line-up that puts the focus on top-quality acts, in an environment that will strive for 'memorable experience' over anything else. Rolling in to Melbourne's Docklands Saturady 7 June and Sydney's Home Nightclub Sunday 8 June (Queen's Birthday Long Weekend), HOLEANDCORNER will be putting a strong emphasis on converting both venues into unrecognisable spaces in an effort to provide punters with something a little out of the ordinary. To compliment this, they've arranged a forward-thinking line-up to get your feet shuffling, whether it be house, techno, wonky electronica or something else, featuring: Hot Chip (DJ Set) Matthew Dear Henry Saiz (Live) Guy J Cosmin TRG Xosar (Live) For more info and to grab yourself a ticket, click the poster below:
