Loston - Next Exit
New music from Loston is always cause for celebration.. Good friend of the rats and general legend Loston has released a new track, this time an original following a couple of much-loved re-works of Sampha's Too Much and James Blake's Retrograde. 2014 has seen those tracks getting huge spins at the likes of Coachella, along with a heap of love from producers/listeners around the globe. Next Exit is his first original release and the precursor for a slew of new works set to drop on a monthly basis til the end of the year. After less than a year in the production game, he's has racked up a half a million Soundcloud plays and seen his reworks hit as high as the number 2 slot on Hypemachine, proving his worth far beyond beginner’s luck. Enjoy it below, and chuck him a follow on FACEBOOK // SOUNDCLOUD.

Zhu - Faded: The Remixes
They are plenty, and they are grand.. It's not surprising that Zhu's barnstorming debut single Faded is getting a lot of remix love. While we can't speak for the rest of the world, something about it has clicked massively in Australia, and the vibes continue with this pretty epic remix package. We've already shared Trumpdisco's BANGIN' EDIT of it (which doesn't feature on this official package), along with ODESZA's dark'n'twisty take (which does), and you can now add The Magician, AMTRAC, TACHES and the so-hot-right-now Lido to the list. The five-track release offers a little something for everyone, from The Magician's winding (and slightly harder than his usual disco-leaning steez) house, AMTRAC's electro-housey version, TACHES' minimal effort or Lido just doin' whatever the hell he pleases. A deserving package for a big big tune.

Seekae - Test & Recognise (HWLS Remix)
Their national tour is looming, and this remix of the first album single is glorious.. London/Sydney trio Seekae's upcoming national tour is fast approaching, in anticipation of the release of their upcoming third LP, The Worry. A little while back they dropped the first teaser of the album - Test & Recognise, again highlighting the addition of more vocal work from group's Alex Cameron. The side project of Perth beat lords Ta-ku and Kit Pop, HWLS, have added their chilled trap touch the track, in what we believe to be their first official remix following a few originals. The combined talent of all involved has crafted a beautiful re-do of an already beautiful (it's Seekae - derr) song. Give it a spin below, and catch Seekae at one of the following dates: Sat 9 Aug: Darwin Festival, Darwin (Jonti not appearing) Tue 12 Aug: The Zoo, Brisbane w/ Jonti & Tincture Fri 15 Aug: The Gov, Adelaide w/ Jonti & Untzz Twelve Inch Sat 16 Aug: Villa, Perth w/ Jonti & Savoir Fri 22 Aug: 170 Russell St

Nina Las Vegas Pt. 2
Who she's looking forward to at CIRCO and #reasonswhyshelovesperth.. In case you missed it earlier this week, we had a big and awesome chat with Nina Las Vegas about her time overseas, the global domination she’s planning with Mix Up Exclusives, and also maybe probably hopefully finally getting some of her own music out into the world (read it HERE). The end of our conversation turned towards CIRCO Festival (sick of telling you how good it's gonna be - get TICKETS already), where she’ll be bringing it home following the likes of Ryan Hemsworth, Kele and Violent Soho. Given her recent musical education overseas, we were keen to see who she’s looking forward to catching, if anyone from around our way had caught her eye, and any other hot tips on acts doing good things overseas. “I’m really excited about DJ Q, I wanna see Esta play, and Mykki Blanco I seemed to be everywhere he was on my trip, but I never saw him play, so I can’t wait to check it out. And Deejay Earl will be awesome too.

Kilter - Alive Again (Salute Remix) *Premiere*
Kilter's Citizen Kay-featuring new single gets the Salute re-work.. With Kilter's Shades EP landing on July 11, one of our favourite young beatsmiths in the country is taking his MPC-bashing, keyboard noodling, percussion-pad drumming live show around Australia and New Zealand for a huge 16-date tour, which includes an appearance at Splendour In The Grass. You can check the dates for that further down the post, but for now we're stoked to premiere a new remix of Kilter's latest single, Alive Again feat. Citizen Kay. Kilter's long had his roots in hip hop, and Alive Again returns to those after the bangin' first single from Shades, They Say (check the trippy video clip for it HERE). Taking over remix duties below is young Austrian producer Salute, who recently premiered a remix for Sam Smith's Money On My Mind over at i-D (check it along with a host of rad originals and remixes on his SOUNDCLOUD). Bringing that future-beat/chilltrap vibe to the track, stripping back the vocals and slowi

Introducing RBMA Stage feature artists, Nguzunguzu.. Splendour In The Grass is edging closer and closer, with a line-up that is stronger than ever (which is a kinda pointless thing to say given the fest manages to kill it every year), and we're really looking forward to getting back into the dark and wonderful world of the Red Bull Music Academy stage, featuring a host of underground electronica artists. You can click HERE for the original artist line-up that includes the likes of Young Franco, Flamingo, Sampology, and the people you're about to meet in this post, Nguzunguzu. Lanks - Thousand Piece Puzzle EP
Some lusciously chilled beats out of Melbourne.. Melbourne-based instrumentalist/producer Will Cuming AKA Lanks just released his debut EP, Thousand Piece Puzzle, with celebrations beginning at The Grace Darling last Thursday, and a Sydney show at Upsairs Beresford this Friday 27 June. As is becoming commonplace in the Australian music scene, Cuming also fronts another band, Farrow, but has turned his attention to a mature new side project that sees him delving into a beatsy world of folktronica, something akin to a mash-up of Bon Iver and Jamie xx. Green Light is the latest single he's released from it, featuring some beautiful vocals and delicate, sparse guitar work that builds into a light d'n'b feel. You can find it amongst the other six tracks on the full EP below, and head to Lanks' FACEBOOK to keep up to speed of his future goings on.
