Tkay Maidza - U-Huh
World domination is surely imminent.. Following radio-slaying bangers Brontosaurus and Handle My Ego, Tkay Maidza is continuing her killer roll in 2014 with new single U-Huh. Something akin to the stylings of MIA and Azealia Banks (minus the diva bullshit), Tkay has carved a strong-as-fuck name for herself very quickly following some self-assured live shows on the last LV Presents tour, and will no doubt win a buttload of new fans when she takes on Splendour In The Grass this coming weekend. Something about her harder - at times electro -edged take on hip hop tickles me in the right places, and I can't wait to see her dominate the rest of this year and beyond. Follow her on FACEBOOK to watch what will no doubt be a rapid rise to the cream of the Aussie hip hop crop, and enjoy U-Huh below, available digitally via Dew Process from July 21.

UV Boi - Thank U Single Tour
This is a guy you're going to be hearing a shitload about for the rest of 2014.. Sliding iPhone sounds into tracks is pretty genius. If your song is playing somewhere and people aren't already listening, that shit grabs your attention right off the bat. Just ask Knife Party. Fortunately, unlike that particularly exruciating slice of electro-house, UV Boi's debut single, Thank U, is an incredibly endearing piece of 808-production, featuring the smooth vocals of Fionn Richards, and properly endorsed by the likes of Nina Las Vegas and Ryan Hemsworth: He's so chuffed with it, he's giving it away for free, and taking around the country starting next Friday. So check one of his cracking live shows at the following dates, and hit up his WEBSITE for more goodness. FRI 25 JULY – VILLA, PERTH w/ DJ Butcher SAT 26 JULY – FATHER, PERTH  FRI 01 AUG – MUM, SYDNEY w/ Atticus Beats, Bambii & Bobby Gray SAT 09 AUG – LAUNDRY BAR, MELBOURNE w/ Baro, DEER & Dugong Jr FRI 15 AUG – ALHAMBRA LOUNGE, BRISBAN

Indian Summer - Shiner National Tour
Your mates and our's, Indian Summer are hittin' the road after Splendour.. Like a beautiful flower, we've been watching Indian Summer grow from party club mash-up DJ extraordinaires into one of this country's best and brightest producer duos, and a stellar run of releases has reached a glowing peak with the release of Shiner feat. Ginger & The Ghost. Always refusing to be tied down to genre tags, this track still feels like the twosome have reach something akin to "their sound", and it's epic. The track has been killing it since release, smashing up to number one on HypeMachine, and deservedly so: The EP features a b-side in Closer, which you can now buy from HERE, and go see 'em at one of the following dates, 'cause they are a duo that never (ever) fail to disappoint live. Fri July 25 - Mix Up Stage @ Splendour In The Grass, Byron Bay Thu July 31 - Star Bar, Bendigo Fri Aug 1 - The Back Bar, Hamilton Sat Aug 9 - Chinese Laundry, Sydney Fri Aug 15 - Meche, Canberra Sat Aug 23 - The TB

Strangeways DJs - $AFE ENVIRONMENT$ mix 2014
A serious collection of jersey club, trap, and general bass mayhem.. Melbourne trio Strangeways DJs flicked through this banger mix a couple of weeks ago and it's been on repeat ever since. A seriously rammed one-hour mix of future bass, jersey, trap, Russian ghetto (their words), and some of their own (Lido-approved) edits/mash-ups. Serious party vibes, which isn't surprising given Strangeway DJs have been rocking the clurb for seven years, including residencies at Workshop, Black Cat and Howler. Check the epic tracklist after the stream, follow the dudes out on FACEBOOK // SOUNDCLOUD, and catch 'em in the club at one of the following dates: $TRNGWY$ FOREVER VII: Saturday 19 July, The Workshop (MELB) SPLENDOUR IN THE BAR 2K14: Saturday 2 August, Transit Bar (CANB) THE ASTON SHUFFLE w/ Just A Gent: Thursday 4 & Friday 5 September, The Corner Hotel (MELB)

Introducing: The Walking Who
Three young lads on that psych-rock tip.. INTRODUCING: THE WALKING WHO Tell us about yourselves: We are The Walking Who. Three Young Lads who grew up on different ends of the east coast of NSW. Three people with completely different personalities and senses of dress, who came together on a Tuesday the 29th of February, 2010 under a double rainbow, in Wollongong… What kinda tunes we talking?  We talkin' a rock band with psychedelic tendencies. Not psychedelic as in Paisley shirts and Hollow Body Bass Guitars. Instead, an openness to exploring sound, genre bending and generally things that are sonic and special.  Production/writing process.  We start by bunkering down in a house, setting up all our shitty gear ready to record then Jamming out individual people's ideas. After that we listen back, pick out the gems and get to work pulling mad hits out of the mud. At some point there will usually be something recorded through a cassette player, something borrowed from a friend then broken
