Kele - Trick
Kele is finally releasing a follow-up to his debut solo album: Trick.. Last June when we ran a little music festival called CIRCO (video wrap HERE), and it gave us the pleasure of hanging out with one Kele Okereke. Notoriously quiet and humble, he was both of those things, but still super friendly and fun to hang out with. He rocked a slamming DJ set filled with mainly house bangers, his weapon of choice in recent years, especially under his solo guise of Kele. His debut album The Boxer was filled with some killer dance tracks, and we're really keen to see how he's developed that passion over the past few years into the follow up - Trick. Due October 10, Trick will be a different, sleeker beast, with a newfound emphasis on Okereke’s soulful vocals, at the crossroads of club history, old school soul and modern electronic R&B, with a distinctively British twist. Check the album teaser below, pre-order it HERE, and follow Kele on FACEBOOK // SOUNDCLOUD for new stuff as it comes to hand.

Jonathan Boulet - Gubba Tour/New Video
After rolling around Germany for a year, JB is back baby.. 2014 sees the return of Sydney's Jonathan Boulet after a year in Germany, with his new album Gubba. It's a departure from 2012's rad album We Keep The Beat, Found The Sound, See The Need, Start The Heart, a more sonically noisey and aggressive album, with the first single Hold It Down introducing us to a grimier, ballsier Boulet, and we dig it. Hold It Down kinda reminds us off early days TV On The Radio, and that is definitely okay by us. He's just released a new video for it, starring his own freakin' dad as a biker dude. It's awesome, and makes us wanna go for bike rides through rural North West Sydney (where this was shot). Check it below, along with the Gubba tour dates: DATES: FRIDAY 15 AUGUST - NORTHCOTE SOCIAL CLUB, MELBOURNE (TICKETS)SATURDAY 16 AUGUST - PIRIE & CO SOCIAL CLUB, ADELAIDE (TICKETS) THURSDAY 21 AUGUST - GOODGOD, SYDNEY (TICKETS) THURSDAY 28 AUGUST - BLACK BEAR LODGE, BRISBANE (TICKETS) Jonathan Boulet FA

cln - Sideways EP
Brissy young gun backs up his debut single with a killer EP.. There's SO many young producers coming out of Australia it's becoming harder and harder to cut through noise, and this fact alone makes it really pleasing when someone does. And today we're happy to share with you Brisbane producer cln's debut EP, Sideways. Featuring lead single Better Than (which we covered a while BACK) along with its follow-up title track, the EP also includes a couple of unheard trip/hip hoppy jams in Dayum and What You Said, along with a remix for fellow Brisbanite, Golden Vessel. For mine it's the snares in cln's productions that originally grabbed my attention - maybe it's the drummer in me - but a good snare will prick up my ears straight away. Fortunately the downtempo melodies, pitched-around vocals and general smoothness of the whole package works beautifully. He's got some shows coming up too - including supporting our beloved Willow Beats on their Merewif SINGLE TOUR, check 'em after you give Si

Goldroom - Till Sunrise feat. Mammals (Premix)
Goldroom wants you to remix his new track before it's even released.. And now for a remix competition with a difference - LA-based producer Goldroom (he of Embrace fame) has announced the August 11 release of his new single, Till Sunrise feat. Mammals, by releasing a "premix". He can explain a little better: "The Premix is an experiment. Remixes are a big part of the creative world I live in... One thing that I've struggled with, though, is that when crafting a remix, you're bound in one way or another by the original track. Inevitably the song, its arrangement, and its instrumentation influence the remix. What I'm interested in here is seeing what happens when people remix a song without having actually heard that song." With that in mind, he's released the vocal stem for the track (listen below), and is inviting people to put their own spin on the track just using the vocals, before even hearing Goldroom's own take on it. It's a pretty interesting concept, and he (along with ourselve

Movement - Ivory Video/Tour Dates
Beautiful (and very NSFW).. We've said it TIME, and TIME, and TIME again, but Sydney trio Movement are easily one of our favourite Australian acts going around at the moment. And again, they've done nothing to make us stray from that opinion with one of the video clips of the year thus far. The clip for Ivory off their debut EP from earlier this year is nothing short of incredible - which isn't surprising given the pedigree involved; directors Fleur & Manu have worked with the likes of M83 and Gessafelstein in the past. It's also incredibly NSFW, and will make you re-assess your feelings towards those of the fair-haired persuasion. They've got some live dates on the east coast coming up - go and see them, you won't be disappointed (we haven't seen them yet 'cause they haven't come to Perth, but it's just one of those things you know). Hopium - Dreamers feat. Phoebe Lou
Melbourne electronica duo Hopium enlist Snakadaktal's frontwoman for a beautiful new single.. Earlier this year we featured the first single from Melbourne outfit Hopium - called Cut it came complete with a visually stunning video clip and brooding, post-industrial/darkwave beats, which had us rather excited (check it HERE). This excitement has proved justified with the recent release of their follow-up single - Dreamers, featuring Phoebe Lou, former frontlady of Snakadaktal (RIP). They've proved a perfect match, with Phoebe's spoken word parts reminiscent of Before The Dawn Heals Us-era M83, and on-point production from Hopium themselves. Dreamers hit number 2 on Hypemachine last week and has already been added to full rotation on triple j, so one gets the feeling this is only the beginning.
