Attention all cheapskates and cheap dates.. An important part of being an adult is learning how to manage a budget. When you learn how to do that, please let us know because we still haven't figured it out. The 'Tuesday' rapper is re-releasing his self-titled EP on Drake's label, OVO.. Now that Drake's signed Atlanta rap oddball/legend iLoveMakonnen (Makonnen Sheran) to his label, OVO, Drake's decided he's going to re-release iLoveMakonnen's self-titled EP, ILOVEMAKONNEN, on Dec 15. The original EP dropped in July but didn't take off straight away, until Tuesday became a runaway hit (not to mention basically a pop culture phrase) and the hype ball started rolling (probably had everything to do with that cover our Pilerats' Records artists HAMJAM did, TBH). It's contemporary Atlanta rap scene vibes all the way, with features from Father and Key! (as well as Drake, on Tuesday), and production from Mike WiLL Made It (who recently released the tracklist to his own much-anticpated mixtape, Ransom) and Metro Boomin. Jam City remixes Kindness' Who Do You Love, and offers a newbie of his own, Crisis.. Night Slugs' producer Jam City has given Kindness and Robyn's track Who Do You Love, of Kindness' Otherness album, a moody, metallic remix for a forthcoming remix EP of the track. Jam City was in the studio with Kindness when he started working on the original sample for Who Do You Love, and helped Kindness with a few tips, so his inclusion in the remix EP was a natural step: "I had no idea what Jam City would come up with, but I'm honored he's re-worked Who Do You Love into something so Jam City-ish!," Kindness told FADER. Electro-pop duo GRRL PAL release another killer single, NGHT.. A few weeks ago saw WA-based electronic duo GRRL PAL re-enter the fray after a lengthy stint in the US living and working with producer Parker Ighile (G-Eazy, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj), and already great results in that return tune - Paradise. The next best thing to actual barrels if you ask us.. During last week's Electronic Music Conference we had the pleasure of stumbling across Adelaide trio Flamingo's set during one of the EMC Play nights, and it was a cracker. Their tropical-feeling name is indicative of the music they put out - a very laidback and groovy type of beatsy electronica, and you can get a nice taste of it in the video below, for single Drip Away. The second exclusive track from Future Classic's Teen Idols is great.. Following last week's announcement of the release of Future Classic's Teen Idols compilation, which came with a brand new Touch Sensitive track (info HERE), this week Hayden James has thrown his contribution to the compilation up on Soundcloud in Something About You. It's another typically smooth affair from one of the smoothest producers this country has to offer - a slow, housey jam with a silky vocal. Up-and-coming UK outfit Goodbye Stranger are crafting some dreamy indie-dance.. Taking influence from the likes of New Order and Australia's own RUFUS, London-based four-piece Goodbye Stranger have sent us a track that seems far more appropriate for the sunny fields of Australian festivals and beaches than the cold, gloomy skies one might generally associate with the British isles. They're already clocking up some big venue and festival appearances in Europe with an indie-dance sound not unlike Australian contemporaries such as the above-mentioned RUFUS, Gold Fields and New Navy.
