"We’ve been around for thirteen years now in the same band, we’ve never played with anyone else and we’re all getting a little older with families and what have you. We’ve come to the conclusion that our plans for world domination didn’t quite pan out as we had hoped."

“With Paulie, it was a bit more of a professional relationship, even though there was that underlying friendship, but we were going to him as a producer so we valued his opinion. We wouldn’t have gone there for starters if we didn’t, but he also valued our opinions.”

"I never really liked the whole ‘garage’ tag or being associated with that at all, because I think there’s a lot of bands like that which just sound really fucking boring and don’t need to exist."

As an album, the overall feeling is of a body of work that comes close, but simply doesn’t get over the line.

"To tell you [honestly], I’m not planning anything that long – I’m not planning the next 12 months. The world is big and it doesn’t have a plan.

"We were at a bit of a crossroads. Dave [Starr – guitar/vocals] had a major life-changing thing with his work; I had a business that was struggling and my relationship busted up too, so we were all in weird headspaces."

“I’ll always believe in following your dreams because it happened to me. As I was saying before, it’s a constant battle; there’s lots of work, then lots more work – it’s a big thing... I’m really bloody fortunate to be doing it and I’m so excited to have this record out.”
