Because we are just that desperate to talk about the album with you we have a handful of copies of III and some Crystal Castles T-Shirts to giveaway.
It’s now been a couple of weeks since we saw the release of CRYSTAL CASTLES’ aptly titled third full length release, III. So we hope that you’ve managed to grab yourself a copy from your local record store, or at least jumped on Spotify to have a listen. Because really, we’re sick of just telling each other in the office how great it is - we need you to know too.
It’s another incredibly dark affair from the Canadian due, although that’s really not that unexpected – as it now seems that these kinds of themes are ever connected with the name, Crystal Castles. As we said in our review of the album, “Halloween may have just left, but with Crystal Castles pumping out [a] new album, everyday can become a menacing nightmare.” It also feels of a more mature creation, each track comes with its own story based on a particular view on society – something that Alice Glass has really honed in her song writing over the years.

Really we don’t want to sit here and give you another album review, nor do we want to again rave about the fact that the band are coming to Australia for the third time in the last 2 years for 2013’s Big Day Out festival run as well as a couple of intimate sideshows. So let’s just cut to the chase. Let’s just say that gone are the days of Crystal Castles being a pin up hipster act for every tween that has stumbled upon an episode of Skins. They are now finely polished and one of the most intriguing electronic acts the world has.
