VIDEO PREMIERE: Sunbleached - 'Rose Tinted'

2 December 2021 | 10:17 am | Staff Writer

"Set out to create a fresh and authentic alternative rock sound inspired from decades passed and reimagined."

Sunbleached, Brisbane's latest post-hardcore up and comers, are releasing two-track Rose Tinted this Friday, and the title track's music video premieres today via The Music

The dual release also features their previously released single Flowers Grow From Ugly Places, which was released in October and heralded this EP.

The melancholic elements of Rose Tinted are reflected in the clip via its aesthetic elements. The band are surrounded by roses, disco balls and plastic as they deliver the sentiment of the single.

"Rose Tinted is written from the perspective of a person in an abusive relationship that is being victimised by their counterpart, they seem willing to receive maltreatment because they love them and maybe they don’t know any better," vocalist Josh Baker said.

"It’s quite a sad story really, and it’s something I’ve experienced first hand and seen my friends go through at various stages of their lives."

Back in early 2020, the now members of Sunbleached were winding down from previous music projects and set out to create a fresh and authentic alternative rock sound inspired from decades passed and reimagined.
