La Mama presents WorkSpace as part of MICF.
The space is set up like a film set with a flurry of activity onstage as the audience walks in. MC Ben McKenzie explains that WorkSpace is a live filmed Hey Dad..!-inspired sit-com about creative freelancers with the final filmed product uploaded to YouTube. The characters are larger than life and their interactions are amusing to watch. The second episode is more subdued than the first and it is difficult to hear the actors at times. Nevertheless, WorkSpace is a clever concept and its execution will tighten as the run progresses.
