Brooklyn-based band Wet have kept a modest-to-low profile since they recorded and released their first EP in 2014.
While that may seem like a relatively long time to wait before following things up with an album, the songs that carry over from their initial self-titled release sound just as stunning and relevant. It's a testament to lead singer Kelly Zutrau's songwriting that the new tracks here are nearly indistinguishable from the older ones, featuring the same stripped-back pop sensibilities and warm tenderness that drew attention to her band in the first place. Don't You is a quietly assured effort, making for a remarkably consistent debut.
