Live Review: WATCH: ZHU 'Faded' (Official Video)

Enigmatic LA producer ZHU serves up this monochromatic and sensual video for 'Faded'.

'Music is Faceless. Let my music tell my story.' This is what LA producer and singer ZHU's biography reads, and boy, ain't that the truth. With little to - let's face it - no information online about him, all we're privy to is the producer's full name (Steven Zhu) and a handful of his tunes. Great tunes.

The producer first came to light when he released ‘Moves Like Ms. Jackson’, a mashup of numerous OUTKAST's most popular hits. Then unknown, it sent the music blogosphere in a frenzy, as all fervently tried to pin an identity to the unnamed.

Now, he's turning the music world on it's head again with the deep house grooves of latest track, 'Faded'. The song emanates tinges of euro-electro vibes, with its sultry 'Baby, I'm faded, all I want to do is drive home to you' letting your imagination run amuck. But if merely imagining feels like a disservice to the track, then feast your eyes on the recently released official 'Faded' video. A monochromatic visual array of smoke,  and suggestive shadows, ZHU still has us listeners in the dark and searching for more.
