THE RUBENS new offering for us eager fans is an official video for latest single 'The Best We Got', and it's quite a statement and well worth the watch.
"They say these days are the best we got/ What a tragic thought". The Menangle lads are making a statement. They've already made a statement and left their mark on the indie scene, exploding out of the wilderness of the New South Welsh countryside and into the hearts of thousands of music lovers and teenage girls all around Australia.
Flown to New York courtesy of David Kahne, of THE STROKES and LANA DEL REY success, THE RUBENS recorded a debut album that did not disappoint fans of their sexy Triple J Unearthed smash 'Lay It Down'.
They've now got a brand spanking new offering for us eager fans, in the form of an official video for latest single 'The Best We Got'.

Already one of the strongest tracks and the album's triumphant opener, the video for 'The Best We Got' adds to the drama of the song's story of wasted youth and the predicament of an awkward age. Opening with slow-mo footage of a hooligan brandishing a cricket bat, wasted, wild-eyed, looking for trouble, the video progresses and draws attention to his entirely unfulfilling downward spiral of pub brawls and alienation.
Sam Margin, THE RUBENS dashing lead singer, is suited up, and along with the rest of the band watches the kid and his screw-up life unfold. Not the happiest of stories, but it's real and it's stylised and it looks bloody good. Watch it.
