The Flaming Lips have again provided us with another surprising film clip for their track 'Turning Violent'.
THE FLAMING LIPS music videos are renowned for some, well, weird images of late. It's been a tradition of sorts for the band to have some pretty surprising film clips, shows and really they just thrive on the weird and unexpected.
Because of this, we've come to expect the unexpected from the band, but again they've come back with something very strange indeed; a pretty normal looking music video. Yep, you heard right, everyone is clothed, there's not weird effects or crazy monsters and guts.

The music video is for the bands track 'Turning Violent', taken from their latest album The Terror and I'm not gonna lie, I'm loving the shiny blue outfit that the whimsical frontman in doning in this clip.
With people lying in the audience wrapped in something fairly similar to tin foil, and pouring glitter everywhere, the clip is very simple showing shots of the lazy crowd and the band as they generally don't do a hell of a lot.
The set itself is very minimalist, with its pure white walls and the purple orbs that hang above THE FLAMING LIPS as they play their relatively somber track. It's eerily quiet and it isn't until a big crash mid-song that everything gets a little more interesting. A spectacular light show breaks out as the guitars crunch over the synths that have just been quietly hovering along during 'Turning Violent'.
