Remember SAMPHA? The man on vocal duties for SBTRKT's 'Hold On'? Well he's back with a double A-side single that was digitally released via Young Turks just yesterday; which also happened to come with a clip to the AA track 'Happens'.
Visually directed, edited and produced by Cherise Payne and shot by Jake Cizic, we're approached by 'Happens' in a dimly-lit, tinted red room with just SAMPHA, a piano and his enormous talent. With just the simplicity of his performance, the tale he sings is empowered through his heavenly voice and dancing hands as they glide up and down the keys of the piano.
The song itself is one you'll warm to quickly, however the visual companion that is the film clip really does spoil you, as Sampha is the type of artist you won't come across too often.
Digitally available on iTunes now, Sampha's 'Happens' will be available with 'Too Much' on 7" vinyl via Young Turks on 6th January. You can pre-order the physical release HERE.
