UK singer SAM SMITH is back with his first official solo piece and if you thought he might be a one-trick pony than get your headphones ready
If you thought the vocals on disclosures break-through track ‘Latch’ were delicious, well prepare to be floored. UK singer SAM SMITH is back with his first official solo piece and if you thought he might be a one-trick pony than get your headphones ready.
This guy has a voice that could seriously melt the northern hemisphere right now.
‘Lay me down’ is an emotionally charged, beautifully executed ballad. No matter who you are, where you’re from or what you’re doing… do yourself a favour and take the time out to close your eyes and get lost in this 4min gem. Unless you’re driving then like, don’t do that. I almost guarantee you’ll go back for round 2, SAM SMITH has that ability where you believe what he sings, which is something you just cant teach.
He was kind enough to release a video accompanying him doing what he does best, while the “acoustic” designation suggests there is a more robust version of this song, the simplicity of the ballad is strong enough to stand alone. Check it out below and keep your eyes on this guy – he got soul!
