Hailing from Copenhagen, the eclectic four-piece that is REPTILE YOUTH have made their worldwide debut with the release of their debut self-titled LP.
They tend to be notorious for creating videos that are generally not socially acceptable to see someone watching on their Macbook in the middle of a public library, or at a busy coffee shop. What essentially is the sound of sunshine and dance fused into one obedient mass, REPTILE YOUTH are continuing with the production of their ever-catchy lyrics, hooks and oh so splendid riffs.
The clip for their new single, “Morning Sun” sees a catchy tune overlayed with a broody collection of clips of a young boys luckiest day. The song itself is extremely catchy, and in a good way. The choir-like tones underneath the chorus gateway the dark half of the song, setting itself up for a big finish.

The content tests the idea of what is essentially deemed appropriate, with it actually being banned off Youtube. After cashing a social security cheque or something that brings him shitloads of money; sex, drugs and champagne invite the young boy to a night which only seemed close by in his fantasies.
You can piece the rest together. The boy wakes up, doused by the “Morning Sun,” and typically, a sense of fulfillment and enjoyment. REPTILE YOUTH are continuing with their spiel of socially inappropriate, yet extremely refreshing works of what should be deemed art.
