Lady Gaga Was An Extra In Classic AC/DC Video Clip

While Lady Gaga is a mega popstar, there’s no doubt about this: she has a rock and roll voice. And now, we know that she’s been rocking – and headbanging – since she was in her teens, including in an AC/DC video clip.

Lady Gaga appeared on Apple Music and Apple TV+’s latest festive special, Carpool Karaoke Christmas, alongside fellow music sensations Dua Lipa and Chappell Roan. The trio didn’t just sing Christmas songs with Zane Lowe – taking over for creator and executive producer James Corden – they sang some of their own songs, too.

In the case of Lady Gaga, the Die With A Smile (featuring Bruno Mars) singer was joined by a surprise guest, AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson. Lowe teased that he’d brought her Brian Johnson for Christmas.

The pair teamed up for an epic rendition of the AC/DC classic, Highway To Hell. After singing together, Gaga revealed she was an extra in the band’s Stiff Upper Lip music video.

“You wanna hear something funny? I was in the Stiff Upper Lip video,” Gaga told Johnson (via Consequence Of Sound). “I was 17, and I was an extra in the back. I was headbanging, and they were like, ‘Hmmm. Don’t headbang; we want it to be modern.’ And I was like, ‘No, there’s only one move that I can do.’”

Last month, it was revealed that Lady Gaga would headline next year’s Coachella music festival alongside Green Day and Post Malone. With her appearance on Carpool Karaoke Christmas, her main role in the new Joker film, and new music on the way, it’s a good time to be a Lady Gaga fan.
