Ever wanted to gaze straight into Ryan Adamson‘s eyes as he serenades you with his rock and roll brilliance? Well look no further than REGULAR JOHN’s new clip for their latest single, ‘Slume’.
Shot in just one take, the band’s lead singer breaks down the fourth wall in this very engaging video. Its visual simplicity is rather stunning as it virtually consists of a bare-chested Adamson, battling out the lyrics with every feeling he has towards the meaning and depth to the track.
He stands before a beige wall in a low-lit room and holds nothing but a microphone. These neutral tones in the clip highlight the honesty and emotion in the lyrics and instrumentation of the song. All potential bullshit that this clip could have exhibited was thankfully not considered as you are left with nothing but Adamson confronting you with his powerful execution.

‘Slume’ comes from the band’s forthcoming LP Strange Flowers. A record that was basically built on a breakup, expect heartfelt expression from these Sydney rock legends. It’s available through Difrnt Music/MGM 14th September, and will be toured nationally throughout September and October.
