We've been following Sydney duo, POLOGRAPHIA for years now, so we're super psyched to see the boys sign to our good friends, Sweat It Out! Music. To accompany such great news has brought the announcement of the outfit's, Natural EP. Dropping two of its tracks so far, 'Up & Down' has just graduated from single to official film clip status.
A day in the life style of narrative, we follow the persona of, 'Up & Down' from the moment he opens his eyes of a morning until the time spent alone beneath the afternoon sun.
Exploring the abandonment of a graffiti riddled office space, our persona travels in solidarity, seemingly on a quest fuelled by curiosity with every stairwell climbed and room entered. Becoming less intrigued by the endless rubble that swamps this idle building, the theme of disconnection looms, and surely enough encompasses the mood of, 'Up & Down'.
Documented through an underexposed yet heavily saturated lens, the audience is initially tricked by the bright hues and supposed productivity that ensues from simply waking up and getting out of the house of a morning. In saying that, it is through the lone wolf nature and spots of reflection that sees our persona mirroring, Goodbye Moon's lyricism, as well as the concoction of moods developed in Polographia's composition; ultimately deeming, 'Up & Down' a double-edged sword both visually and sonically.
