‘I Have To Go Rogue Every Single Time’: Peach PRC Reflects On The Past As She Steps Into Her New Era

Live Review: Olympia 'Tourists' (Official Video)

Melbourne lady, Olympia, has released the accompanying clip to her latest single, 'Tourists'.

To follow up, 'This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things', Melbourne singer-songwriter, Olivia Bartley - aka OLYMPIA - has just released her new single, 'Tourists' through EMI. A modest tale comprised of sultry bass, smooth beats, subtle guitar and mystic synths, the experience of, 'Tourists' has been furthered with an accompanying film clip.

Walking into an aquarium may be a dull experience, particularly when you're not actually there to adopt a new family member. Yeah, fish are pretty cool, but they're not exactly uncommon. Watching them swim around can be fascinating, but the confines of their small tank definitely lessens the attention span.

Not dissimilar to the lyricism of, 'Tourists', Olympia sets up camp in the corner of a pretty average pet store; well that would be the case if it weren't for the saturation of effect. A burgeoning light floods the homes of these scaly sea creatures, illuminating the presence of a sparkly, silver Olympia. Reiterating the lyrics, "Dreaming awake and you wish you were sleeping", Olympia attempts to graduate a mundane experience to a synthetic moment of escapism.

Although it does rub off on us for a short while, the glass cages ultimately rephrase the claustrophobic normality of the situation. A longing for something different, remember that where desire be, desire may go.

Olympia's, 'Tourists' is available for digital purchase now via EMI.
