If music is a hurricane, NICOLE MILLAR has endured storms. The songstress has been hard at work huddled away with the collective parts of her debut LP for the better part of the last year, and it's all finally coming together for the Sydney gal.
A little earlier on she dropped her debut single; the dark complexity that is 'Wait'. She's been teasing the video on her Facebook page for a while now, but the wait is over.
Doing utter and complete justice to the track, the clip encompasses a mature sensuality that is emphasised through contrastive lighting and shadows. The blues and the pinks of the lights make perfect splashes of light throughout the clip as though car headlights are flicking in and out of the portrayed motel room window.
There's a definite tension in the video between Nicole's character and the male that cameos, something that creative team Voena have pulled off so well.
It's a hazy video that truly feels like a lost night out, encompassed by the company of herself.
If anything, this statement video further solidifies how much of a front runner Nicole already is with her new work. And it's only just beginning.
