KONTRAVOID has recently unveiled a video for his new single 'Silent Visions'. Having previously worked with artists like Crystal Castles and Trust, his credentials cannot be questioned. Your own safety when in proximity to him however, can be.
The video has a nightmarish Germanic vibe, following a creepy masked vigilante (in what looks like the car from Knightrider) as he tracks an attractive leggy blonde lass into his downstairs lair. Upon entering said lair, the masked villain covers his hostage in a sheet and sits her down. After this point, The leggy blonde does not reappear.
Inter-cut with images of video spool and out-of-date recording technology, our hero then returns to Knightrider, most probably search out his next victim.
The vocal effect really sticks with you. Think Rammstein crossed with Talking Heads over a dark tech-house bassline reminiscent of Austra's 'Feel It Break'.
The whole thing gives me the 'yips', so all the more reason to give it a look-see.
