JAKE MEADOWS teamed up with Daniel Johns on his latest single, 'Lost Entitlement', and we're unveiling it's accompanying video clip for the first time.
JAKE MEADOWS is a singer, multi-instrumentalist and harpist from Sydney. He's teamed up with national hero, Daniel Johns, on his latest single, 'Lost Entitlement', and today we're unveiling it's accompanying video clip for the first time.
If you're wondering how this partnership with Daniel Johns has come about, Jake Meadows has been a part of the live band for Johns' recent shows including Vivid Live in 2015. You may also know him as a part of live set-ups for Angus & Julia Stone, Eves The Behaviour, Paul Mac, Thelma Plum and many other Australian artists.
Johns has also collaborated with Meadows throughout his new EP, Good Company. He's said this of working with the latter "Jake Meadows is a poet with too many notes, a musician with too much to say, a true original who inspires and rolls music into movies, 'Good Company' is proof that friendship can be born from art".
As for 'Lost Entitlement', the track creates a texturally dynamic soundscape with an emphasis on intricate instrumentation and sampled strings. And as Meadows' principal instrument is the classical harp, he's somehow managed to transform his writing on the harp into a truly modern interpretation on this one.

To match the upbeat nature of the track, the visuals are a kaleidoscope of shapes and movements - whilst the haunting tone of Johns and Meadows' vocal performances are framed by the black and white wash across the video.
