Wonky disco hypnotists and New York City natives HOLY GHOST bring us a very intriguing time lapse based video for their latest track 'Dumb Disco Ideas'. For some reason the vocals here remind me of WILCO's Jeff Tweedy, kind of sounds like a funkified version of the band's song 'Heavy Metal Drummer'.
What we get here is that signature DFA RECORDS sound consisting of crunchy, bouncing drum hits complimented by energetic bass and stabbing guitars + of course quirky songwriting and subtle pop hooks.
Good on the lads for producing such a beautifully simplistic and aesthetically pleasing video but as one YouTube commenter pointed out "WHY would you leave those beautiful modular synths outside overnight!?".
