Wonky disco hypnotists and New York City natives HOLY GHOST bring us a very intriguing time lapse based video for their latest track 'Dumb Disco Ideas'. For some reason the vocals here remind me of WILCO's Jeff Tweedy, kind of sounds like a funkified version of the band's song 'Heavy Metal Drummer'.

What we get here is that signature DFA RECORDS sound consisting of crunchy, bouncing drum hits complimented by energetic bass and stabbing guitars + of course quirky songwriting and subtle pop hooks.

Good on the lads for producing such a beautifully simplistic and aesthetically pleasing video but as one YouTube commenter pointed out "WHY would you leave those beautiful modular synths outside overnight!?".

The dudes at DFA RECORDS are currently celebrating 10 year's in the business, nice work fellas!

The label put out a short viral documentary video to mark this milestone, it features interviews with label heads James Murphy (LCD SOUNDSYSTEM), Tim Goldsworthy and Jonathan Galkin + a bunch of their artists including LCD SOUNDSYSTEMYACHTHOT CHIPTHE RAPTURETHE JUAN MACLEAN and of course HOLY GHOST!
