GRIZZLY BEAR have just released their new music video for 'Yet Again', which is the second single from their latest album Shields. The clip depicts an ice skater who falls through the ice, finds herself ashore dealing with a landslide of emotions, ultimately putting her skates back on and taking it all in stride.
The clip was directed by Emily Kai Bock, who has done wonders in creating a suitably surreal clip for the band. GRIZZLY BEAR's Ed Droste explains “We never put any restrictions on a director when they do a video, it’s their art project set to our music". When looking back at GRIZZLY BEAR's previously released videos, this is evident. Whether it be the cartoonish tragedy of 'Knife' or the schizophrenic claymation of 'Ready, Able', Grizzly Bear's track record for music videos does not show any restrictions on creativity or surrealism.
The album has been receiving rave reviews across the board and it shouldn't come as surprise that this week Shields made it's debut at No.7 on the Billboard Top 200. GRIZZLY BEAR are playing this year's Harvest Festival, as well as two sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne.
