Golden vessel releases new music video for his latest track TONIGHT. Filmed on a trip to Japan around the streets where he was staying
Hot off the release of his debut album, SLOWSHINEm and the announcement of his debut North American tour, Aussie artist Golden Vessel provides us with a visual treat in the music video for his single ‘TONIGHT’.
He explains, “The video for ‘TONIGHT’ is the third video I filmed with my friend Matt Howard (from 633 films) on a recent trip to Japan. We had a bunch of ideas for different scenes on the way over, but we weren’t sure where we were going to shoot. It turned out that the suburb we were staying in was so beautiful and interesting and we ended up filming it just around the area we were staying in."
It channels some strong 90s vibes, with a bit of grunge energy along for the ride. The video sees Golden Vessel in various street locations, with fun elements like graffiti, payphones and playgrounds. There is clearly an easy-going and comical feel to it, with him playing a mini keyboard on the floor, over-dramatically whipping off mini glasses and putting his shoes to the camera when they’re mentioned. There are also cameos from friends, and the good time they had filming the video definitely shines through.
