Live Review: WATCH: Fake Blood ‘All In The Blink’

The official video for FAKE BLOOD's single, ‘All in the Blink’ is set in a makeshift hospital that creeps you out no matter which way you try and swing it.

The official video for FAKE BLOOD’s single, ‘All in the Blink’ from his latest album Cells is set in a makeshift hospital that kind of creeps you out no matter which way you try and swing it.

Matronly women doctors lip sync the pop inspired tune that features jumpy piano mixed with deep funky house beats. Their piercing stares and matter-of-fact body language make you want to sit up straight, eat all your vegetables and learn something from this clip.

The subject, Robert M. who is recently divorced and suffering from depression is the catalyst of the clip and as the screeching synth enters your ear drums, Robert begins pulsating with the beat. The clip is an odd juxtaposition between such clinical images mixed with eccentric electro. Before you know it, one of the nurses is bleeding and Robert has pretty much created enough chaos that the clean up of that O.R. will be an absolute nightmare.

The continual motif of eyes remains present in the clip as it turns from straight forward to downright weird. All in the blink of an eye, the retro cinematography distorts and the creepiness of this clip becomes completely apparent as you find yourself squirming to the chipper tune. Strap yourself down, much like Robert, and enjoy the odd pleasure you will get from this kooky clip.
