Body High boss Samo Sound Boy and notable producer Jerome LOL have had this incredible project together for a while now. Called DJ Dodger Stadium, the group actually encompasses sounds that could well easily be harboured inside a stadium.
They've got a new one called 'Stand Up And Speak', and aside from this probably being my favourite DJDS single, this is also probably one of the best videos I've seen in a while too.
Featuring an array of children covering different races, sizes, genders, they each cameo in different portions of the song and sing along with the lyrics. It features this small group in a Lord Of The Fly-esque scene that feels more dystopian than Survivor.
They each sport a gas mask, assumably protecting them from the huge factory looming in the backdrop of this gorgeous film clip.
The track itself has this incredibly infectious dance hook behind it with some fast paced percussion. The vocals feel quite soulful, and I think this is why this one feels so powerful. It's a combination of this and an almost psychedelic touch to the instrumentals that feels very Animal Collective.
DJ Dodger Stadium are no strangers to the eclectic, the weird and the innovative, and 'Stand Up And Speak' is definitely one of their best works.
