DEERS, a lovely new project from Madrid girls Garcia Perrote and Carlotta Cosials, have released their first AA single and have the world falling in love with their raw sound.
'Bamboo' and 'Trippy Gum' were the tracks featured on the single and although both tracks share a similar element in their name, they are completely different singles.
'Bamboo' is the main track on the single and features relaxed melodies that blend twangy guitars and a heavy drum beat. The vibes on the track are calm and collected with the sturdy beat holding together the layered harmonies that fill the vocal track. These girls have the general surf-pop, lo-fi garage genre covered and it's interesting to see a duo take on BEST COAST, especially when English isn't their first language.
A new video has been released for 'Bamboo' as well, presenting all of those sweet vibes on the track in visual form. In the music clip we see Perrote and Cosials giggling together and wandering around Madrid and Barcelona, as the video was shot when the girls were travelling to and from Primavera Sound Festival.
The fun their having is apparent in the images as both girls are either smiling or laughing in every shot. The video shows the bandmates at their best singing along to the track and just goofing off which is definitely just as exciting to watch. The video shows the world who DEERS are and what kind of personalities they have and honestly, they look like two girls we'd love to hang out with.

'Bamboo' and 'Trippy Gum' are now available to purchase on iTunes and if you feel like you need a wax copy, a 7" vinyl is available to purchase through the band's Bandcamp. DEERS are a very refreshing act and we hope to see more of them as the year goes on.
