You probably haven't been able to get through a week without seeing something off Jimmy Fallon's new gig on The Tonight Show in your news feed. Whether its him and Anne Hathaway singing hip hop songs Broadway style or news guy Brian Williams performing the whole of Rapper's Delight. It's generally all good stuff.
Adding to the amount of great stuff on the show, Melbourne darling Courtney Barnett recently made an appearance and absolutely killed a track. 'Avant Gardener' is one of her stronger releases - uniquely Australian in its guitar and vocal twang.
But something stands out - she's next level on her vocals with her lyrics so delicately crafted; perfectly describing iconic images and insights of what Australia's about. It's slotted together with the tone and rhythm of her voice that displays a pondering lethargy that sells the whole persona hook, line and sinker.
Most people would even dress up when they're making their primetime American TV debut - but Courtney rocked the absolute shit out of a t-shirt and jeans combo.
Makes you proud to be an Aussie.
