With a new track essentially comes a rad new video clip from Best Coast of a ‘Baby I’m Crying’ live version, supported by 360˚ sound.

2013 was a good year for music. Shit, it was even a great year. Even more so because our favourite cat loving, surf-rockers BEST COAST put out their mini-LP titled ‘Fade Away’.

Following up from the highly anticipated 2012 album ‘The Only Place’, BEST COAST have ultimately come into their own, settling into a sound that could really only be described as Beth Cosentino’s own.

So, the new single...

‘Baby I’m Crying’ is this anthemic ballad, defined by a newly discovered resolute tightness to the band’s sound that we could definitely hear forming on ‘The Only Place’. This track could actually find a place on either ‘Crazy for You’, or ‘The Only Place’, but even so, this confidence radiating from the track is so refreshing to hear from the group.

With the track essentially comes a rad new video clip of a live version of ‘Baby I’m Crying’, supported by 360˚ sound. That’s right; sound all the way around your head. It’s this new “Binaural” recording system, which involves two microphones fitted onto the ears of a mannequin, and the surrounding sounds are hence recorded.

So rather than listening to some crappy live recording that really sounds like they’ve utilised a potato for recording rather than an actual recording device, plug in your favourite set of head/earphones, sit back, and listen to BEST COAST playing in whichever room you are favouring at the time.
