Live Review: PREMIERE: Arty Ziff delivers innovative visuals for new single 'Thought About You' Ft. Fractures

Melbourne producer Arty Ziff confirms he's one to watch with beautiful new visuals for his latest single, 'Thought About You'.

Just recently, Melbourne producer Arty Ziff debuted an exciting new release in the form of the heartfelt and emotive 'Thought About You'. Recruiting the ever-glorious vocals of Fractures, 'Thought About You' is a racing, polished and warm release from a producer who is continuing to pick up speed, and this release in particular saw him receive well deserved praise across the music industry. Now, he's going one step further with the release of some accompanying visuals, adding further depth and poignancy to the already encompassing song.

What is a relatively simplistic video also doubles as an effective and striking clip, with Ziff having to think on his feet given he was releasing during the intense Melbourne lockdown. Recruiting Jam Nawaz for video duties, the pair managed to do the single justice using old footage Jam had, and drew on the emotional intensity and bubbling, optimistic nostalgia of the single to bring it all together.

“As we were creating this during lockdown we tried to be as creative as possible within the limitations," Arty Ziff explains. “The footage used in this video clip were from Jam's trip to Japan last year. I tried to explain to Jam what the vibe and feel I wanted and he absolutely nailed it. The objects floating around throughout the video represent things within a relationship and the colours are just a vibe."

He continued, saying, “I originally named the working title of the song ‘Thought about You’, and Fractures ran with that idea and then some.”

“The song is about a past relationship that someone would look back on and reflect what they could have done differently and what they wish they could change. It's a song most of us can relate to."
