Youth energy...
Founded in sunny Brisbane early 2007 it wasn’t long before melodic-hardcore group Values Here were signed to Skull & Bones records shortly after a well received demo.  Within a short amount of time Values Here have managed to build a sizeable fan base by playing constantly and have already shared the stage with recognized international bands including Gorilla Biscuits and Four Year Strong as well as heavy weight locals 50 Lions.
Featuring ex members of the now defunct positive hardcore group Just Say Go! Values Here have hit the nail on the head with their debut offering “Greet the Sun” which features ten raw and energetic tracks from what was beginning to seem like a long lost art on Australian shores.

Powering through in just less than 22 minutes, “Greet the Sun” is a relentless release which doesn’t slow down for a moment.   Values Here can be likened to With Honor with the speed and intensity of Perth’s Miles Away (while not sounding like a carbon copy of the for mentioned bands). The songs structured well and are extremely infectious which is best seen on tracks like “For The love of the Game” and “Purpose” which has been on repeat to make the drive to work slightly more bareable.
Due to its length it will take a few spins to come to grips with the songs as will more than likely go straight over your head due to their length (most songs barely reach the two minute mark) and the pace at which the band runs through each song. Coming through at one minute flat “The deep end” is a good example to show that Values Here are not pissing about.
Filling the current void of energetic melodic hardcore bands, Values here present a sincere and powerful debut that promises a bright future in the Australian hardcore community.
