TimberwolfThe long-awaited second recordings from Adelaide-born self-styled vagabond Christopher Panousakis tumble from the speakers like a man already onto his ‘difficult third album’, bypassing all that hype-y “the new John Butler” nonsense that would beleaguer a lesser 23-year-old.
Just five songs on offer here means a debut long-player proper is still a while away and there are Gotye fans who’ll crave more to connect further with his dreamy vocals. Too much polish by producer Mark Myers detracts from Timberwolf’s rustic charm, but a strong festival circuit career is pretty much assured.
