The Wytches ProfileA little-known band from Brighton in the south of England recorded one of the best albums of 2014.
Fast-forward to the present and the band has a new permanent fourth member and the oh-so-difficult second album has been penned, produced and pressed. With Jim Sclavunos (Nick Cave) recording, the sound is a lot more polished, as you'd expect; noticeably less doom-surf and more come-down rock, with influences of Tolstoy, small-town living and unknown metal bands referenced throughout. Although missing some of the spontaneity and disdain of their debut, there are some cracker moments including C-Side and Bone-Weary.
