Delightful mess The Lemon Twigs are a throwback pop band from Long Island in New York.

Sunny instruments jostle for attention among odd time signatures (think Field Music crossed with Wings), and lines like "why you so angry at me?" sound flippant and whimsical; pathos has no place here. There's some playful heft to the bass lines, and the D'Addario brothers' harmonies are sweet without being sugary.

Some nice exposure through high profile Netflix show Easy might see them mellow out in line with their popularity, but here's to hoping they maintain their delightful weirdness just a little longer.
