"Lost Time would be even better listened to on a Walkman than an iPhone."

More Tacocat More Tacocat

For all the references to feminism that seem to get thrown around anytime anyone's writing or talking about Seattle pop-punk quartet Tacocat (it's both a great name and a palindrome), Lost Time doesn't seem to care about the term.

Rather, the dozen songs are straight-up fun for all, with references to The X-Files (as if the track title Dana Katherine Scully wasn't a dead giveaway) and teenage anthems littered across the record. It's consistently upbeat with minimal downtime, and there's a rough-around-the edges quality that suggests Lost Time would be even better listened to on a Walkman than an iPhone.
