"[His] debut record 'Sheets Of Life' is an ode to his hometown, even if he doesn't explicitly say so."

It doesn't take The Voice to prove how deep Australia's musical talent pool is.

The wintry streets of Melbourne have produced yet another thoughtful musician, Sunny Hawkings, whose debut record Sheets Of Life is an ode to his hometown, even if he doesn't explicitly say so. Anyone who has ever wandered through Carlton Gardens or strolled the St Kilda pier looking wistfully across Port Phillip Bay must listen to this record; it's as if it has been especially designed for such moments. Of course, a glass of red and a warm open fire would be pretty good accompaniments to it as well.
