If you're looking for crazy Fleetwood Mac drug stories, look elsewhere. Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams is a track-by-track chronicling of the writing and recording of the rock star's latest solo record, and it's pretty much one big, self-affirming love-in. Even though there's something slightly laughable about a bunch of rich middle-aged white people talking about inspiring young people to “go back to the old way” of making music, they're easily forgiven when Nicks' wilful, energetic personality is at the heart of this film, and fans will get a lot out of it. In Your Dreams is shot softly and brightly, with unobtrusive camera work, but the use of extended periods of music video-type footage often seems a little lazy. This film is light on drama and heavy on self-congratulation, but if anyone's earned a bit of indulgence once in a while, it's Stevie Nicks.
