Album Review: Steven Tyler - We're All Somebody From Somewhere

StarStar

"Steven Tyler needs to stick to what he knows. Rock!"

More Steven Tyler Steven Tyler

Aerosmith legend Steven Tyler has taken a stab at country with his first solo album, not what fans would expect.

Red, White & You is acoustically pleasing while setting a very mainstream country sound compared to I Make My Own Sunshine, which is fun and quirky. Tyler's raspy vocals are blissful throughout the album — sadly at times his vocals are restrained compared to Aerosmith songs, which are full of energy. His acoustic rendition of Janie's Got A Gun brings back memories for fans, but Tyler almost loses the high notes. Steven Tyler needs to stick to what he knows. Rock!
