Stahsi ventures into his own productions with plans to release his first EP at an unknown date, here his offers up his first enigmatic creation Solo Hunter.
You may have already stumbled across STAHSI featuring on Airwolf’s ‘Lose the Lazy’ or prior to this LONDON’s ‘Window Washer’, however now his efforts are focused on creating his own pieces, with his first offering ‘Solo Hunter’.
Along with LONDON, Stahsi is a fellow Melbourne creation, recently supporting another local - Benson, at the iconic Shebeen last weekend.
Unlike his collaborations, 'Solo Hunter' is a slow burning enigmatic production, utilising gradual layers to allow his falsetto vocals to emanate throughout. He pairs simple yet emotive piano chords with sporadic percussive electronics, this sets the backdrop until swelling pads heighten the piece opening up for a delicate guitar melody.

This is the only taster we have so far for his upcoming EP (of which the release is yet to be revealed), but with such a refined use of intricacies and distinctively beautiful vocals - his tone comparable to Alt-J, this will not be a one off. In the meantime, his next show will be at Max Watt's on 5th December and his live performances, much like his production style, portrays a raw emotion which can't be learned or faked.
