Taking on KLP's 'Changes' and making it completely his own, Donatachi continues to prove just why he's one of the most exciting producers in Australia.

Each week, we select one artist to feature as our Spotlight Artist. This week, we've chosen DONATACHI. For more Spotlight Artists, head here.

Following the release of her new single 'Changes', KLP has enlisted a handful of up and coming Aussie musos to remix her track. One of them is Sydney's own DONATACHI, a producer with a taste for pop melodies and nostalgic swirling synths. With this remix he brings his signature, unironically peppy style, highlighting KLP's vocals and flipping this tune into a fun dance

Alongside sugary sweet arpeggios and synths, he channels Cher levels of autotune in the verses and dense, euphoric soundscapes in the choruses. KLP's solid vocal rules the track, with her voice being pitched, filtered and chucked in all over the place, even being almost unrecognisably changed to a warbled synth sound in the choruses.

There's so many Donatachi staples in this track; skittering percussion, trance-y synth stabs and pop culture samples galore. With cute, little touches like the square sounds of 8bit synths and samples of bubble pops, you can't help but crack a smile when listening to this one.

For a song about the daunting nature of change this is one uplifting flip, that's the magic Donatachi touch for you (Donatouchi?): everything he remixes turns to a glistening bop.
