A clumsy start to this cover is nothing to underestimate as RAINBOW CHAN's childlike and angelic vocals chime in, causing you to pay attention to this cover of SPOOKYLAND's track 'The Silly Fucking Thing'.
Dim notes of what sounds like a toy piano compete with Chan's voice as a slow introduction is soon made to each individual instrument used in producing this cover. Cheeky synth is then mixed with what sounds like the galactic humming of a sitar- a welcomed element.
Her stoic vocals create an atmosphere of apathy and delicacy as layered percussion scratches its way into the cover, creating a mechanical sound. This rendition plays down the original and turns the yearning tones of Spookyland's track to make this version sound as quaint and calm amongst the chaotic nature of the instruments.
